Alex and Andy Owen are very proud to be the new owners of the Cowdray in Balcombe.
The Cowdray re-opened on the 6th February after an extensive refurbishment. We would like to thank everyone who has visited us in our first few weeks and hope that if you haven’t yet found the time we will see you soon. We are pleased to have received some extremely positive comments and welcome everyone’s feedback so as to ensure that our food, drink and service are of the highest standard. |

Flying The Flag for Sussex
The Cowdray helps to promote what must be one of the only self sufficient counties within the UK. Sussex produces some of the finest meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, wine, fruit wine, mead & much, much more. |

|
Where possible, all ingredients are sourced from our local farms, from dry aged beef, succulent lamb to fresh milk & butter. From aged cheeses to chutneys & honey, to our local baker!
All these ingredients are infused to create a fantastic traditional sussex pub/dining menu.
If you are a farmer of Sussex produce, we are always looking for new producers, so please get in touch with our head chef Andy

The Cowdray offers a concise range of ales, lagers, cider, stout and soft drinks.
We are the only pub to have a dedicated sussex wine, fruit wine & mead list.
